Jolina, but everyone calls me Jo. I have my husband, Sean, 8 month old son, Dominic, and our golden retriever, Rocky. I grew up in Los Angeles.

What got you into design?

Fixing up our first home gave me the hands-on experience that I had been craving for years after watching hours of HGTV and following DIYers on social media.

What Drives your design decisions?

With staging, a lot of gut instinct plays into my design decisions. Other times, I like to play around with the furniture and move things around while its in front of me. I like to think "how would a perspective buyer walk into this room? how would they feel coming into this space? does this make it feel like home to them?"

What are some of your biggest inspirations?

Some of my inspirations range from my mom, whose style I've always admired, to famous folks like Shea McGee and Joanna Gaines.

What are you most proud of in your portfolio? What does it reflect in you as an interior designer?

I am proud of my guest room that I designed and built an accent wall while I was (quite) pregnant. I was determined to transform our space for our guests, knowing they would be coming to visit our babe. I think it reflects my will and motivation to get things done, but also how important family and friends are to me. I want everyone to feel at home, even while they're away from theirs.

What can clients expect when working with you?

Clients can expect to have their voice heard during our process together. I think clients can be pleasantly surprised while working with me. Brining in a new perspective can help see their space in a new light.
